On the river end of bustling Pakington Street, you will find Picket Fence in a cute weatherboard cottage behind, you guessed it, a white picket fence.
We have lovingly refurbished the cottage to create a space with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that preserves the building’s original charm and nostalgic ambiance.
At Picket Fence we are committed to ensuring our customers feel welcome, well fed and well caffeinated.
Some changes have been taken with the menu to offer a fresh take on café fare that is unapologetically focussed on refined quality.
Our restaurant inspired café menu takes its influence from Asian cuisines that are known for their clean and fresh flavours. Those who are looking for the comfort of more traditional meals won’t be disappointed with bacon and eggs and burgers a mainstay of the menu.
One of the things we are most proud of is sourcing our fresh, premium produce from local purveyors. From the La Villa Salumi bacon to Ket Baker pastries and Monica’s granola, the majority of our menu is created from local Victorian produce. And those serious about their coffee will be pleased to know that our beans of choice are supplied by Coffee Cartel.
Our local support also extends to the art hanging in the cottage, which is the work of renowned street artist Michael Cassar aka Schmikey Milk.
The Picket Fence team looks forward to welcoming Geelong locals and visitors to the café.
